Jessica O’Driscoll-Breen critiques proposed cohabitation law reforms in a recent Financial Remedies Journal article

Jessica O’Driscoll-Breen recently contributed to the Financial Remedies Journal, penning an article titled ‘Burning Down the House (That We Once Shared for 3 Years) to Roast the Pig: The Problem with the Cohabitation Reform Proposals’.

The article argues that the Ministry of Justice’s consultation paper, A Fairer End to Relationships, would give too many unmarried couples potential financial claims against one another when a relationship ends. Jessica offers an alternative legislative proposal.
