Jessica O’Driscoll-Breen

Jessica practices in all areas of private family law, particularly financial remedies. She joined QEB in 2021, following the successful completion of her pupillage in Chambers.

Overview

Jessica has experience in financial remedies, cohabitation disputes, private children law and applications under the Family Law Act 1996. She joined QEB in 2021, following her pupillage under the supervision of Marina Faggionato, Duncan Brooks and Charanjit Batt.

Jessica accepts instructions in cases involving financial remedies, cohabitation disputes, private children law and applications under the Family Law Act 1996. During her pupillage, she assisted with several high-value and complex cases, including disputes over large trusts, jurisdiction post-Brexit in relation to variation of maintenance claims, Part III applications and issues of res judicata.

She has appeared in her own right in the High Court as well as the Family Court, and she undertook a pro-bono case for Advocate involving international child abduction. Jessica also marshalled with Duncan Brooks in his role as a Deputy District Judge, arbitrator and Private FDR tribunal.

Prior to joining the Bar, Jessica ran a tutoring agency which specialised in tuition for overseas students applying to boarding schools in the United Kingdom. She continues to mentor students, especially those with an interest in law.

Jessica attended a professional dance school before university, with a focus on ballet and contemporary dance. She maintains an interest in dance, although she is not as good as she once was.
