Overview
Charanjit practices exclusively in family law, with the focus of her practice being financial applications relating to matrimonial and children proceedings.
Charanjit has a particular interest in cases with an international aspect, and is often instructed in cases involving a foreign component (offshore trusts/assets, jurisdictional issues, enforcement).
She is often instructed to provide affidavits and opinions on English law for use in foreign proceedings and to assist in foreign matters where advice as to English law is required. Charanjit is a fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (admitted in 2017) and is also a member of the Asociación Internacional de Juristas de Derecho de familia (AIJUDEFA) (admitted in 2025).
Charanjit has delivered lectures on various aspects of family law both to law firms and at conferences including giving presentations in Spanish at annual AIJUDEFA conferences (Porto in 2024, Turin in 2025, Panama City in 2026).
Charanjit is also Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and is instructed as an evaluator for private FDR appointments.
Charanjit has considerable language skills being trilingual (Panjabi and Hindi), and she also speaks Spanish and Urdu to a good level.
