Judgments in LP v MP [2025] EWFC 36 and 473 were recently published.

Katie Cowton KC represented the husband in this unusual and difficult case, in which Mr Justice Cusworth in the High Court has now delivered 2 judgments relating to marital and litigation misconduct.

The wife received a significantly reduced award on divorce due to her marital misconduct, which included serious domestic abuse and coercive/controlling behaviour. She was also ordered to pay a significant proportion of the husband’s legal fees, due to her litigation misconduct.
