Expertise
Katie was appointed Queen’s Counsel in March 2019, after many years ranked as a leading junior for matrimonial finance by Chambers UK and Legal 500. She was shortlisted as Family Junior Barrister of the Year by the Legal 500 in 2017, and by Chambers UK in 2008 and 2015. She sits as family Judge (Recorder), is a family Arbitrator (MCIArb), and is available as a private FDR Judge.
Katie is instructed to appear in complicated international cases, involving corporate, trusts and tax issues, predominantly in the High Court and Central Family Court. She is instructed to advise on and draft pre-nuptial, post-nuptial and cohabitation agreements, including those with international dimensions, and is well known for her expertise in high net worth cases. Much of Katie’s practice takes place away from the public eye, resolving complex, often high-profile cases at private FDRs.
