Sophie is currently in her second seat under the supervision of Rosemary Budden. She was supervised by William Tyzack during her first seat, observing and assisting him and other members of chambers in all aspects of private family law.
During her studies, Sophie was a member of Columbia University’s Mock Trial team, one of the top teams in the US, and competed in multiple nationwide competitions. Sophie has also acted as a mentor at Place2Be, a leading children’s charity.
Prior to joining QEB as a pupil, Sophie gained valuable experience at a public affairs and political lobbying firm in Washington D.C., advising a clientele that comprised global companies and international governments.

Sophie is a keen tennis player, padel-convert and runner. She aims to run a marathon a year and recently completed both the Stockholm and Paris marathons. Sophie also enjoys Scottish Reeling, travelling and the theatre.
