Sophie is a hard-working, well-prepared and confident advocate. She accepts instructions across all areas of private family law, spanning financial remedies, private children disputes, issues of jurisdiction, and applications brought under TLATA and FLA 1996.

Sophie completed a three-month secondment as a Judicial Assistant in the Family Division of the High Court in 2025. She worked closely with the High Court judges on a wide range of complex family law matters including adoption, surrogacy, international child abduction and financial remedies.

Sophie appeared as junior counsel, led by William Tyzack, in Tickle & Anor v The BBC & Ors [2025] EWCA Civ 42, the landmark Court of Appeal decision regarding the anonymisation of the three judges who presided over the historic proceedings relating to Sara Sharif.

Prior to joining QEB, Sophie gained valuable experience at a public affairs and political lobbying firm in Washington D.C., advising a clientele that comprised of global businesses and international governments. During her studies in New York, Sophie was a member of Columbia University’s Mock Trial team, one of the top teams in the US.

Sophie is a member of the Attorney General’s “Junior Junior” scheme, assisting the A-C Panel Counsel.

Sophie completed her pupillage under the supervision of William Tyzack, Morgan Sirikanda and Amy Kisser.
