Fiona Stewart

Fiona’s practise comprises of all areas of private family law with a particular focus on financial remedies.


Fiona acts in all aspects of private family law including financial remedies, cohabitation disputes, private law children and applications brought under the Family Law Act 1996. She has experience of jurisdiction disputes and has appeared in the High Court in her own right. Fiona also accepts instructions in Inheritance Act claims.

Fiona joined chambers as a tenant in December 2020 following completion of her pupillage. During her pupillage Fiona observed and assisted in a number of complex and high value claims for financial relief upon divorce and cohabitation disputes. As a pupil, she was supervised by Rosemary Budden, Morgan Sirikanda, Sarah Phipps and Elizabeth Clarke.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Fiona worked in Fixed Income Sales at an international Investment Bank in the City for 3 years. This has given her a deep understanding of complex financial elements in financial remedies cases, and a commercial edge to her practice.

Outside of work, Fiona enjoys running, skiing and various other sports. She has completed multiple marathons and ultramarathons including the Marathon Des Sables.
