Alex Hampton

Alex practices across all areas of private family law, with a particular emphasis on financial remedies. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail, empathetic manner with clients and confident advocacy.

Overview

Alex specialises in the full range of financial relief following separation, including matrimonial finance, applications under Schedule 1 and jurisdiction disputes. She was recognised in Doyle’s Guide 2025 as a Family Law Bar Rising Star.

Alex has appeared in the High Court both led by silks and in her own right, and has been praised by judges for the high quality of her written and oral advocacy. She has a particular interest in the issues arising from cross-jurisdiction separation, as well as maintaining an NCDR-focused practice alongside her court-based work.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Alex worked as a paralegal in the Credit Department of a leading US law firm, experience which lends commercial fluency to her family law practice.
