Sophie is a financial remedies specialist with an eye for forensic detail and a flair for written advocacy. She is a powerful court advocate whilst remaining down-to-earth to her clients and professional colleagues

 

Overview

Sophie’s expertise spans the full range of matrimonial disputes as well as applications under Schedule 1, TLATA, and jurisdiction contests. She is highly numerate and commercially aware.

Sophie has been led in cases involving ultra-high net worth in the High Court. She is well-versed in the issues concerning international families and those with complex trust/business arrangements.

Alongside her court-based work, Sophie has a keen interest in NCDR. She regularly sits as a Private FDR evaluator and is developing an advisory practice (both on- and off-shore) for associated third parties (including litigation lenders).

Prior to coming to the Bar, Sophie worked in start-up business development. This has given her a commercial edge. She came third in her year at Bar school and won various mooting prizes, including in the Supreme Court.
