Sophie is a financial remedies specialist with a keen eye for forensic detail and a flair for written advocacy. She is a powerful court advocate whilst remaining down-to-earth to her clients and professional colleagues.

 

Overview

Sophie has expertise across the full range of family financial disputes as well as applications under TLATA and jurisdiction contests. She is highly numerate and commercially aware. Sophie is currently developing an advisory practice (both on- and off-shore) in addition to her normal court-based work.

Sophie has been led in the High Court involving ultra-high net worth and regularly represents clients against opponents many years her senior.

Sophie also accepts private law children instructions, particularly when litigated in parallel to financial remedies proceedings.

Prior to coming to the Bar Sophie worked in start-up business development. This has given her a commercial edge. She came third in her year at Bar school and won various mooting prizes including in the Supreme Court.
