Call: 1983

Silk: 2001

A consistently top-ranked financial remedy silk for over 20 years – astute, empathetic, meticulous in her preparation, always with the ear of the court.

Overview

Lucy acts in the most complex financial matters for individuals from all walks of life.  She cares very much about her clients, who come to her often at one of the most stressful times of their life.  Lucy believes passionately that her role as matrimonial counsel is to apply all her skills – legal and personal – to resolve an already distressing situation with the least additional pain, always mindful of the collateral damage that divorce invariably brings in its wake.  Sometimes litigation is inevitable; and in those cases, Lucy’s clients know that no page will go unread, no legal argument unexplored, to present their case to its maximum advantage.

Expertise

Highly numerate, with a meticulous eye for detail, Lucy is known for her exceptional preparation and realistic advice, and her easy manner towards both her professional and lay clients. In Court, she combines a mastery of her papers with powerful and persuasive advocacy. She believes that the most effective outcome is achieved by combining forcefulness with courtesy.

As well as financial remedy cases, Lucy regularly advises on and drafts nuptial agreements, and deals with claims under Schedule 1 and Part III, and with jurisdictional disputes.  She has dealt with numerous matters involving Jewish law, and the Beth Din.

“At the top of her game and someone who is able to cut through the detail to find the nub of a case, and provide insightful leadership and focus in all matters." "She has a phenomenal legal mind and an ability to put clients at ease. She gives realistic advice firmly but in a way that still makes the client feel supported." "Lucy has a pragmatic, forensic mind. You can inundate her with her documents and she can extract the points that really count.”
