Oliver's main areas of work are ancillary relief and professional negligence, especially in relation to family law; but he has extensive experience of a broad range of common law work. He has a particular interest in cases that involve more than one area of the law.

Oliver is a legal assessor to the Nursing & Midwifery Council. He is a member of the Family Law Bar Association and the Professional Negligence Bar Association.

Education

Oliver read law at Magdalene College, Cambridge. He was a Greenland scholar of Lincoln's Inn.
