Practice profile

Michael has a specialist family law practice. Legal 500 describes him as ‘reassuring’ and ‘highly rated’. His family law experience is mainly in matrimonial financial claims (including cases involving trusts, tracing of assets and value in family companies, and involving fluctuating City and entertainment earnings) and unmarried mother’s financial claims under schedule 1 of the Children Act (especially where high child care costs and/or earnings reduced as result of appropriate care of the child).

He has extensive experience in private child law, including international child abduction (involving cases both outside and within Europe), applications to remove children permanently from UK and for private clients involved in public child law cases (where there has been social services involvement and client wishes to produce a family-based solution).

His practice has included regular work in the field of professional conduct tribunals, and in general common law (including professional negligence cases).
