Practice profile

Marina’s practice covers all areas of family law work with a particular focus on the financial consequences of divorce and disputes involving children (including Schedule 1 provision, abduction and relocation cases). Marina has represented clients in courts of all levels up to and including the Court of Appeal (where she was commended for ‘the maturity and frankness of her presentation’ and ‘her mastery of the documentation’) and has been led in ancillary relief and Schedule 1 cases.
Recommended as a junior in Chambers & Partners for both her Matrimonial Finance and Children Act work, Marina is described as giving ‘sound commercial advice’ and having ‘exceptional client care skills.’ 
Marina has a particular interest in cases with a foreign dimension and has practical experience of family law in France obtained during her time as a Pegasus scholar with the Parisian law firm Lafarge Associés.
In addition to her family law work Marina represents parents in their appeals against Local Authorities at the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal.

Appointments and Memberships Marina is a member of the Family Law Bar Association and Treasurer of the Lincoln’s Inn Denning Society.

Education Marina read PPE at Oxford before studying for the conversion and Bar Vocational courses at BPP (where she was a Lord Denning scholar) and reading for a Masters in Law at University College London.

Personal Marina is a fluent French speaker who enjoys cooking and sailing (and on occasion combining the two).
